When I originally began this blog, I had envisioned it to be something a little different than it has become now. It has already changed so much since then and I know, without a doubt, it will change again in the near future. I’m starting to think that it’s all part of the fun of blogging. 🙂 Anyways, I’m sure many of you out there can relate.
Because of this, I’m not going to describe what this blog aims to be. I’ll have to get to that some other time. Instead, I’m going to give you a Lil’ peek into the world of Lil Miss Fox, so I hope you enjoy.
What brings me into the world of bloggers, you ask?
Well, I’ve been a writer my whole life. I have many personal journals going right back into childhood. In elementary school I liked to write songs and poems mostly (SO cute).
In highschool, writing was always my strongest subject (I was a straight A student anyways). Interestingly, for personal writing I preferred poems of the erotic variety (ahem – omg! – I really did).
In college I took creative writing courses and essays became my favourite “thing” for any assignment possible. LOL. You’ll even catch me use random expository essay formats to this day. The truth is I can’t help it… I love them so much! ;p
After that, I switched my focus and landed an internship with the Coast Guard. Writing was still going on in my personal life in the form of journals. These were hand-written at the time as it was only 7 years ago that I started saving them on my computer instead.
For many years, each Summer I travelled up to Whistler and managed an International hockey tournament. It was great fun and left me with plenty of stories to write about. I should also mention that I went on tour three years running as the Road Manager for a rock band (who shall remain nameless – mwahahaha). During these times, I was writing more than ever because I wrote full journals/accounts of it all (and I have them all except one, but that’s another story altogether).
Because of my positive attitude and experience, it was a natural progression for me to then begin an office career in coordination. Years of inter-personal experience and a drive to succeed finally enabled me to land my dream job as a Customer Service Manager, to which I have been focused on for the last 5 years.
So here I am. The funny thing is, all this time, through all this stuff, I was writing the whole time and didn’t even contemplate beginning a blog or anything like that. I almost can’t belive it took me this long to figure it out.
There are many books written by me that are tucked away and I have a computer file that would take a month or longer to get through, but I never thought about writing or blogging at all until I finally had an epiphany.
Once I realized what I needed to do, things just seemed to click. It was incredible. I calmed and it started feeling like my life suddenly made more sense. Like it was calling to me through my dreams or something. It felt… meant to be.
And that’s how I know I need to be here, blogging with all of you. 🙂 I hope you will visit often and feel free to comment as well. I’m looking forward to getting to know all of you and forming a great, supportive community!
Cheers all and chat with you soon,
PS: Yes, those are actually my lips posted above. <kiss!>
